Learning from Our Mistakes: The Engineering Design Spiral
Charlie Field, Martin Defense Group

Designing boats takes a lot of work and it also requires us to answer lots of questions. As marine engineers and naval architects, we are faced with problems that we don’t always know the answer to – until we try something out. Our products are never perfect on the first try, and it is through the process or trial and error that we learn how to improve. In this talk, Charlie Field will take you through a typical design process for building a boat and all the fun, exciting, and challenging opportunities that come with it.
